1. Legal nature and scope

Article 10 of Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), titled “Obligation of the Data Controller to Inform”, requires that data subjects be informed when their personal data are obtained. Under the KVKK, Acarkon Entegre Ağaç San. ve Tic. A.Ş. is the “data controller”. 4. Purposes of processing

Personal data are processed to manage Silva Stone product enquiries, sample and quantity requests, showroom appointments, dealer and customer relations, contract performance, legal compliance, information security and, where lawful, marketing communications.

5. Legal grounds and methods of collection

Data are collected electronically via website forms, email, phone, WhatsApp and, where applicable, physically at Acarkon Stores. Processing is based on KVKK Art. 5 and Art. 6 grounds including explicit consent where required, performance of a contract, legal obligation, and legitimate interests of the data controller provided that fundamental rights of the data subject are not harmed.

6. Transfer of personal data

Personal data may be shared with authorised service providers (IT, hosting, logistics, call centres), group companies and business partners only to the extent necessary for the purposes above, and with competent public authorities where required by law. Cross-border transfers are carried out in accordance with the KVKK.

7. Retention period

Personal data are retained for as long as required by the purpose of processing and by applicable legislation (including commercial, tax and consumer law retention periods), after which they are deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
